Exempt Staff Training Fund

The Professional Development Fund for Exempt Staff exists to support exempt staff with the cost of degree and certificate seeking tuition, related course materials, and other professional development opportunities.

Available Funding

The 2026-27 Professional Development Fund for Exempt Staff totals $30,000. Individuals are eligible to receive up to $1,500.00.

Application

To apply for professional development funds, please complete the Exempt Staff PD Request Form. Funds are typically allotted on a first come first serve basis. In years with an influx of requests, funding will be prioritized for individuals who have not received funds from this award in the past.

The priority deadline for application is October 30, 2026. Applicants who submit their application by the priority deadline will be notified the first week of November as to whether they will be awarded.

Tuition Assistance

Tuition assistance for degree and certificate seeking students is one applicable use of this fund. Proof of course completion is required for both tuition reimbursement and reimbursement of course materials.

Additional Professional Development Opportunities

Funding is also available for both in-person and virtual education opportunities such as conferences, workshops, etc. Please reserve requests for conference support from this fund for when division funds and grant support cannot be identified.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

All reimbursement requests must be processed prior to the close of the fiscal year. Requests received after June 20, 2027 will not be eligible for reimbursement. It is the responsibility of the award recipient to submit their reimbursement request, including all applicable documentation, to the Office of the President in advance of the deadline. Exceptions to this deadline will not be made.
